Conservation officers have approved our quality and attention to detail and materials used. Old properties that are in need of a new roof or extension are sympathetically restored in keeping with the age of the building and surroundings. Or perhaps a property needs a new look and with the permission from the planning department (if required) we can achieve this. We have past projects which you can view that have been transformed by our expertise and professionalism.
We help with advice on roofing problems and solve leaks that often no one else can or perhaps because of the complexity others are not always interested.

Advice and Problem Solving
We pride our selves on being able to resolve leaks in roofs when others seem not to be able to. We provide photographs of the problems if you are not able to get onto the roof and we always discuss with our clients the problem and how to resolve it and of course the costs. We can provide a detailed report with the photographs

Re-roofing with tiles
With so many roof tiles now available on the market from a wide range of machine made clays and concretes, hand made clay tiles, pan tiles, reclaimed tiles and fittings. We advise on the best tile for your roof taking into consideration the pitch and weight per ton. The appearance of the tile and surroundings and if the property is listed we obtain approval from the conservation officer, we will supply samples for approval.
Re-roofing with slates
Slate roofs can be many many years old before they need to be re roofed. Many old roofs still have the original slates on with no felt beneath. Over time the fixings can begin to fail and the slates slip. Slipped slates can be resited using lead clips but do not always look pretty as the lead clip is surface showing. When ever we strip a slate roof we always look to salvage the slates which are cleaned and reholed for a new fixing and then reused on the same roof if that is what our client has asked us to do.
We can always obtain new natural slates of which there are many qualities on the market available and again samples can always be obtained for selection to be made. All slates are secured with either aluminium or copper clout nails to the battens.
There are cement fibre slates (man made) usually blue/black in colour and give a very uniform and perhaps modern look.

Re pitching of existing roofs
Existing roofs can be given a different look (subject to possible planning requirements), for example flat roof dormas changed to pitched roof; an existing roof re pitched from the plate to created living space in the loft.
Leadwork detail
We pride ourselves on leadwork to chimney’s, abutments, outlet pipes, flashings etc. we have the equipment and knowledge to replicate intricate detail in lead work.
Lead valleys
Over time lead can fail for many reasons, poor workmanship, perhaps the wrong thickness of lead has been used for the purpose, or the wrong size for the area causing too much stress on the lead. We are able to remove existing lead work, inspect the valley boards beneath, recreate new lead bays with steps and allowing for the fall so that the new lead conforms to the British Lead Association guidelines.
Timber/UPVC fascia and soffits
We have the ability to recreate timber fascia and soffits that can be painted or stained in your choice of finishes. The resources to replicate intricate detailing, to fit soffit vents.
Plastic Guttering/ cast guttering
